After breakfast, travel to Sigiriya (approx. 4 hours, 190 km). En route, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, the largest captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants. Next, explore the Dambulla Cave Temple, Sri Lanka’s largest and best-preserved cave temple complex featuring over 150 Buddha statues and exquisite paintings dating back over 2000 years. Check in at the hotel and refresh.

After breakfast, visit the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, an ancient rock fortress and UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its historical significance and stunning views from the 200-meter high granite column. Later, embark on the Hiriwadunna Village trek, which includes a bullock cart ride, a walk through the rural village, and a boat ride during sunset. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

After breakfast, enjoy an exciting Jeep Safari at Minneriya National Park, famous for large gatherings of wild elephants. Afterwards, transfer to Kandy (110 km, approx. 2-2.5 hours). Visit the Spice Gem Museum and the Matale Spice Garden to learn about Sri Lanka’s rich spice heritage and sample aromatic spices. If time permits, attend a traditional Kandyan Cultural Show to experience Sri Lanka’s unique dance and music.

After breakfast, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Dalada Maligawa), one of Sri Lanka’s most sacred Buddhist sites. Enjoy a city tour including the Arts and Craft Centre, Kandy Market, and Kandy View Point offering panoramic views of the city.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic train ride from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya through picturesque tea country landscapes. Visit a Tea Factory to learn about tea production and its economic importance. Enjoy a city tour of Nuwara Eliya including Gregory Lake, a beautiful reservoir offering watersports and leisure.

Visit Independence Square and Independence Arcade, then drive past BMICH. Check into the hotel and relax. Later, enjoy shopping at popular outlets such as ODEL, Noritake, and local handicraft stores. Optionally, explore Colombo’s pubs, clubs, and casinos in the evening.
